DignFight Rooms

There is growing interest in information about rooms in DignFight. Costs, spaces needed, how many units can be trained, and what levels they can reach.

Google Docs worked surprisingly well. Check out our new DignFight Room Info.

Currently, our Room Info includes data on rooms up to the Arena (enough for you to get Black Riders). The Treasure Chamber page currently goes up to 23x23, that is the gold capacity you will need to recruit Villains.

As you upgrade your Arena, you will gain 4 more training slots (for a maximum of 12) and the maximum level that you can train creatures will increase.

With the release of the next upgrade, the Library and Workshop will be used to Research and Tinker new spells, doors, and traps. As soon as we find out the info, we will update our DignFight Room Info page.

There were some BIG leaps this week.
I will be contacting some of the Keepers on this list shortly. Look forward to an interview or two with some of their winning strategies.

You begin the game with 3000 gold and no imps. Your first imp is free to recruit, as you recruit more imps, the cost increases. At the beginning of the game, there’s nothing else to spend money on, so recruit 4 Imps right away and start digging.

Never, ever use imps to defend. They die too easily and they are one of the most expensive creatures to replace. If you have 10 Imps defending and one dies, you will have to recruit a new Imp at the 10th Imp price of 2500 gold.

At the very beginning of the game, you can TRY to use Imps to attack. They can carry a lot and after you’re done digging, you can attack every 15 minutes, forever.

While digging, the most efficient way to get gold is to dig with 1 team of 12 for 10 minutes at a time.

You will NOT get more gold by recruiting 2 teams of 12. You will, however, have a much higher creature score and you will be able to use your time quicker. 2 teams of 12 Imps will NOT excavate any more gold in a 24-hour period than 1 team of 12 Imps.
The most effective way to excavate space for your dungeon is to have 1 imp dig for 10 minutes at a time. As you level up your Imps, the maximum space that they can excavate increases slightly.

It is wise to trains Imps as soon as possible. I personally have 16 imps; 12 digging and up to 4 in training at any one time. If gold is tight, recruit at least 13 Imps so that you can have a full team of 12 digging all the time.

Some Keepers report that a team of 4 Imps brings back nearly 100% of their carrying capacity, while larger teams only bring back 40-50% of their capacity. For high level Imps, 40-50% of the capacity of 12 Imps is still higher than 100% of the capacity of 4 Imps.

English Server Down

The English server http://www.dignfight.com appears to be down this morning. All 6 of the other foreign language servers are still displaying a front page.
Today's Top 300 Clan Affiliation post may be delayed.

From the buzz in the DignFight forums, it seems like the Spells, Doors, and Traps upgrade is active on the German server. The multi-account rules allow a player to have 1 account on each server, so if there are any Dignfight addicts out there, you may want to create an account on the German server. I don't know if that's going to get you any information any faster, but it's an interesting option.

As usual, the public section of the Elite Imps forum has the most up to date information.

A whole new tech tree to explore and a whole new set of things to spend your excavated gold!

Spells need to be researched in your Library by wizards. The larger your library, the more wizards can be researching at one time.

Doors need to be researched in your Library by wizards, then tinkered (built) by trolls. Tinkering will probably be done in the workshop (again, larger workshop equals more trolls tinkering at one time).

Evil Eye

  • Reveals the procentual(sp?) defensive coverage of your opponent
  • 4 levels of strength to research
  • costs 100-400 hours of research time per level of strength
  • you must pay gold to cast it (?)
  • chance of success increases with the level of the spell
  • Researching to level 4 will take one wizard 41 days 16 hours

Assigning 4 wizards to research the spell should require about 10.5 days, cost 8000 gold total, and result in a spell that detects the defensive percentage(?) with an accuracy greater than 87% for about 400 gold (?).

Berserker

  • Adds a +2 bonus to the max damage cause by your troops in battle
  • 2 levels of strength to research
  • requires 300-600 hours of research time to obtain
  • costs gold to cast and only functions for a short period of time

Watchful Eye

  • Increases the field coverage of your troops by a bonus of 2
  • currently only 1 level of strength is available
  • requires 500 hours of research time to obtain
  • requires Berserker spell level 1, Evil Eye level 3, and 5x5 Library
  • no info on casting cost, duration, or chance of success

Quicksand

  • Reduces the range of enemy creatures during battle by -1
  • 1 level of strength
  • 500 hours of research time required
  • requires Berserker spell level 1, Evil Eye level 3, and 5x5 Library
  • no info on casting cost, duration, or chance of success

According to Killer_of_cows (Login required to view post), the door/trap/spell update for DignFight will make use of the library.

and yes library and workshop will have purpose after the update so start upgrading them so your ready ;)

also you have to have wizards and devilers/trolls

so if you want to profit fast from the update and be first in your range to use the traps, spells or dorrs build up library and train some wizards (workshop won't do anything untill you reshearched and I belive the time for trap 1 with one level 1 wizard were 200+ hours :P)

So what makes a good Keeper? Browsing through the forums, some say that digging is the best way to climb. Others say that digging to too easy and attacking is more challenging and is the only way to truly appreciate DignFight.

Whichever way you choose, here is a short list of movers and shakers. These keepers have climbed at least 50 spots on the High Score list since last week.

Note: Any Keeper that was not listed on last week's Top 300 list is given a previous rank of 301 (HeBus and Navara).

Snake Eyes, one of the forum administrators has announced that Spells, Traps, and Doors will be added to Dignfight in the near future. A link to the Elite Imps public forum is also included with teaser pics of the new features.

The development of the Spells, Traps and Doors is complete! The new area will be available once the update is installed; in this area you can research spells, build traps and doors! The update has been installed on the DNF Germany server and just needs to be translated. Below is a glimpse of the update:

Spells, Doors & Traps

This one is a judgement call and will probably vary, depending on what area of the high score list you are currently in.

Attacking can be profitable. One troop of 12 Devilers (level 1) can potentially bring in 300 gold from an attack every 15 minutes all day long. The challenge is to find Keepers with low defense and high gold scores.

Keep in mind that damage is healed at a cost of anywhere between 7 and 20 gold per hit point. 40 points of damage will wipe out the profits of 1 good raid.

  • Find a Keeper with a creature score 1/3 or less of their dungeon score. This usually marks Keepers who are busy tech-ing and upgrading rooms, rather than recruiting creatures to defend.
  • Attack Keepers with the highest possible gold score (10 gold points = 100 gold). Regardless of your carrying capacity, you are only able to steal a percentage of the defender's gold. A carrying capacity of 300 versus a defender with 400 gold usually means that you will come back with less than your maximum load.
  • Calculate the minimum dungeon score needed to recruit each creature type. This takes a lot of work, but it will be helpful to know who does not have Devilers or Wizards.
  • Attack the Keepers at the lowest possible rank. If you successfully steal from them, you may be able to widen the gap between you and your target and put yourself out of the 15-rank attack range.
  • Whenever you encounter defenders, remember what level they are and look to see if they are getting a to hit % bonus. No bonus means that your target keeper has less than 50% coverage.
Keep track of your target's stats when you attack to determine what makes a good target. Their dungeon score, creature score, gold score, and of course, your attack results. It shouldn't be very difficult to figure out what kind of Keeper makes a good target.

I must admit that I am a stats junkie. With a little bit of elbow grease, I bring you the first installment of DignFight statistics. This table represents the Top 300 Keepers of DignFight and which clans they come from.

There are 647 clans as of today, 486 of them have only 1 member.

BOC: Alpha and BOC: Beta are tied, each clan bringing 34 members into the Top 300.

Then there's Elite Imps in 3rd place with 22 active members...quality over quantity

186 of the Top 300 Keepers are clan members (62%)
114 of the Top 300 Keepers claim no clan affiilation (38%)

Personal Wars

As with most web-based multi-player games, the last thing that you want to do is piss somebody off. Players like seeking revenge, no matter what it takes. Once a "personal war" has begun between 2 Keepers, the loss of gold and costs of healing will soar to phenomenal heights.

The best players will have high level creatures to fend off persistent attacks.

Good players will avoid starting a personal war.

Bad players will keep attacking, no matter what price they have to pay.

Unless you KNOW that you outrank another Keeper in creature types and creature levels, do NOT instigate a personal war. If you outrank the Keeper, though, let him have it. Show him who's boss and kill a couple of creatures while you steal his gold.

It's not hard to rise into the Top 100 on purely digging. A vengeance-seeking player with Burning Eye active, is rarely able to keep up with a smart Keeper who keeps a well-trained team of Imps.

At any rank up to the #200 or #300 level, it is extremely easy to ignore an attacker and dig your way up the high score list until you are out of their range. This is far easier and cheaper than trying to beat a Keeper into submission.

Stats and requirements for different rooms and creatures are invaluable.

You can thank The Elite Imps for their forum's excellent Public Section. They have the most up to date information on creature stats and room costs around.

Alfcon has created a page of creature and room stats. The information it contains is not as complete, but it is arranged in easy to understand tables.
