This list shows the Top 300 Keepers of DignFight and which clans they come from.

There's not much shuffling going on, but the rankings have been changing a little. It would have to be from Keepers jumping clans (I did a few weeks ago).

184 of the Top 300 Keepers are clan members (61%)
116 of the Top 300 Keepers claim no clan affiliation (38%)

There are no new clans that posted a new player into the Top 300, but 4 clans dropped off the list: Honesty Before All, Keepers of Chaos, OBSYDIANOWE SZPONY (whatever the heck that's supposed to mean), and Trouble Makers.

Clan Affiliation List for Week 47

Reset: I am Trainer

Thanksgiving weekend is over and I've made pretty good progress on the German server. Over the Thanksgiving weekend, I just passed rank 6000 and accomplished my goal of getting 4 training spots. Instead of combat creatures, I have 15 Imps to train. By Monday morning, I should have 7 level 3 Imps.

Even at about rank 6000, there are still a few Keepers that haven't recruited 12 Imps yet...unbelievable. 8 of my 50 neighbors have less than 1950 creature points (the exact point total for 12 Imps). One poor sap only has 250 creature points...probably 3 Imps.

I also realized that with a size 3 Training Room, I can only advance my creatures to level 3. I didn't notice that with my primary account on the English server. It looks like by the time I get my 4th training spot with a size 6 Training Room, I will be able to advance my Imps up to level 5.

So what's the better strategy, spending 4500 gold to train all 12 of my Imps to level 3 now, or spend 4500 for room upgrades?

My average dig rate is 448 gold per 10 minutes and my Imp team has a capacity of 820.

3000 creature points must be intimidating at this level, because I have only been attacked once this week. I try to keep my gold score down before I logout, but while I was playing this weekend, I regularly had 1k - 3k in gold.

My next goal is to train all 15 Imps to level 5.

Lessons Learned

  • The point totals are too large for my "attack with Imps" strategy. Very few Keepers have Imp-only armies.
  • As you save gold for your next upgrade, make sure that your treasure chamber is big enough for the amount you are trying to save.
  • Creature points are a good deterrent against attacks. Nobody has Evil Eye yet, so they can't tell that my defense coverage is 0%.
  • My 3000 creature points will not protect me for much longer. There are a few Keepers that have the same (or higher) creature point total.

Here we go, the first of hopefully a series of interviews with Keepers that have appeared on our Top 300 - Movers and Shakers list. If there are any specific questions that you would like to hear from these top players, please contact us at dignfight(at)gmail(dot)com.

Horrorific is a member of The Brotherhood of the Clans Beta, one of the largest and strongest clans on the English server. He first appeared on our Top 300 - Movers and Shakers list for the week ending November 9 by leaping 255 ranks on the DignFight high score list. He is currently ranked at 65.

What is your favorite creature?
My favorite creature is the strongest creature I have access to at the time.

Are you a digger or an attacker?
digger

I noticed that you've dropped in rank a little since the Movers and Shakers posting.
Actually, I've just been trying to drop down in the ranks. My strategy is simple, stay around the 40's and train creatures.

Are there any strategies that you would like to share with the rest of the Keepers out there?
two things; if your going to be an attacker then prepare to get a premium account (as there is no other way of being a good attacker), if your going to be a digger, then first; ignore everything other than training room/arena, library, workshop, and treasury. Spend your money on training and on those room advancements (treasury is only important when you need it), the other rooms are useless until you have a team of lv13+ imps, at least one team of lv13+ defenders and the rest of your creatures are at least lv10+

For any readers that are interested in learning more about The Brotherhood of the Clans: Beta, they can be reached in their clan forum or from their clan page at the DignFight website.

Not much movement this week and 4 of the Movers and Shakers were Keepers that were not in the Top 300 last week.

Vandel212 is the first Keeper to make 2 appearances on the list.

I'm still waiting for a few clans to merge...this list is getting a bit boring.

189 of the Top 300 Keepers are clan members (63%)
111 of the Top 300 Keepers claim no clan affiliation (37%)

The Mud Bloods debuted on the list, bringing 2 new Top 300 Keepers to the list since last week.

Clan Affiliation List for Week 46

Finally, I've made it onto the "visible high score list"...I've climbed above #10,000.

Highlights:

  • recruited 13 Imps. 12 to dig for gold, 1 to excavate fields.
  • dig strategy is to dig for gold with 12 Imps and excavate for fields with 1 Imp simultaneously. I don't care about coverage or defense, so having lots of unused spaces isn't a problem.
  • I have far more creature points than anybody else in my range.
  • I still have a much lower dungeon score too.
  • I am averaging about 315 gold per 10-minute dig
  • I haven't done much attacking
  • 2 Keepers have attacked me...they are 7,000 and 9,000 ranks below me.
  • Out of the 5 Keepers that I attacked, the closest one is more than 6,000 ranks below me.
  • There are at least 7 Keepers in my range that have less than 750 creature points. They have less than 6 Imps...so I am harvesting gold at least 2x as fast.
  • One of the attackers stole 100 gold from me. I can easily make that up in one 10-minute dig. What's the point of wasting money on defense?
  • Since I don't intend to play this account every day, I dig for a specific upgrade(s), spend the gold, then log out.

Using Sapphires

You're given 20 sapphires to begin with. Some of the bonuses are definitely worth it, but unless you intend to buy more sapphires, you had better spend them wisely.

Burning Eye: Only worth it if you've purchased additional sapphires. The +10 bonus in carrying is the only thing that I care about...naturally, I concentrate on digging and currently have level 10 Imps.
If you've purchased sapphires, keep Burning Eye active ALL the time.

Moldy First-Aid Kit: Only worth it if you've purchased additional sapphires. Saving half of your healing costs is awesome, BUT there are better things to spend your 20 sapphires on.
If you've purchased sapphires and if attacking is a prime part of your strategy, you will want this premium active at all times.

Home Training Made Easy: Very tempting premium. If you have a lot of training spots, this is the 2nd most valuable premium to use.
If you've purchased sapphires and you have 12 training spots, make sure that this is active each time you begin training a unit.

Ring of Flirtation: Only worthwhile if you're doing a LOT of recruiting. Grabbing 12 Dark Riders will only save you 5760 gold. Compare that to Home Training: 12 level 1 Dark Riders + Home Training premium = savings of 4320 gold (and twice that amount to train all 12 from level 2 to level 3).

Hammer of the Handyman: Here is the number 1 premium for most players. Save 5-10 sapphires until you are ready to upgrade your Arena to get Dark Riders. This will save you at least 1000 gold per upgrade AND with the discount, you don't have to sit around with your pile of gold for as long.
With a decent team of Imps, it will probably take you 2 weeks to move from a 4x4 Guard-room to 9x9.

Talisman of Greed: I've never used this one, it just doesn't look very useful. If anybody has a different opinion/experience on this one, let me know.

The Reset: Beginning

I already have 6 Imps, but have not built any dungeon rooms yet.

I started the day ranked at about 26,000. After 2 hours, I have finished 12 digs and attacked a few times. It was enough to recruit 2 more Imps and jump to rank 15,819.

For my attacks, I look for Keepers with certain Creature Points. At this section of the high score list, the only thing we can recruit are Imps and Glowworms. If I see somebody with more than 100 gold points and a specific creature point total, I attack.

I was only able to grab 300-400 gold from about 5 attacks, but I did not encounter any defense (and didn't take any damage). As soon as I attack, the gold that I gain will push me more than 15 spots above my target, so there isn't much possibility of a counter-attack.

Take a look at the screenshot:

  • Only 3 users have fully Imp armies (15611-Fallobost, 16515-Kessia, 15619-Noirrose10)
  • My dungeon score is pretty low
  • This snapshot of 31 Keepers only spans 4 total points (1022 to 1026)
  • With 124 gold points, I am also the most tempting target

The Reset

Right before the Spells and Traps update, I created an account on the German server. I don't have much time to play it, but there are a lot of neat things to learn by starting all over again.

Follow along as I climb up from the bottom of the barrel.

Here are the goals of this account and this series of posts:

  • Play enough to make 1-2 blog posts per week
  • Goal #1 is to get 4 training spaces
  • Concentrate on digging
  • Avoid recruiting combat creatures until absolutely necessary
  • Concentrate on leveling creatures (as opposed to room upgrades)

Rankings are taken on Friday mornings (last week was November 1, this week was November 9).

This list shows the Top 300 Keepers of DignFight and which clans they come from.

There are 732 clans as of today, 551 of them have only 1 member. I can't help but think that 551 Keepers wasted over 1 million gold to register their 1-man clans.

The top 3 remain in place for the 5th week in a row. I'm not even sure how many weeks those 3 have been there before I started keeping track of these stats.

188 of the Top 300 Keepers are clan members (63%)
112 of the Top 300 Keepers claim no clan affiliation (37%)

Creating the HTML table has become too much of a pain in the rear end, so I dropped the list into a Google Docs spreadsheet.

Room costs have been updated to include 4 more rooms: Casino, Prison, Torture Chamber, and Graveyard. The room sizes only go up to the size that is required to recruit a new creature.
The Vampire needs a 15x15 Torture Chamber, so that last upgrade will require 29 spaces and 188,500 gold!! To store that much gold, you're going to need a whopping 44x44 Treasure Chamber. That's going to cost you 87 spaces and only 17,400 gold. (all costs assume that you do NOT have any premiums activated)
Isn't that wonderful? Just keep in mind that there are still 2 more creatures PAST the Vampire.

This post is a little out of sequence. Many of you are probably interested in the room requirements to recruit each creature type. That info is coming, in the mean time, drool over the stats of some of these DignFight units.

Currently, our Creature Info includes stats up to level 15 (15 is currently the max) and all the way up to the Iron Maiden. The majority of you will probably be struggling to get the 9x9 Guard Room for Black Riders. Have fun!

This list shows the Top 300 Keepers of DignFight and which clans they come from.

There are 714 clans as of today, 536 of them have only 1 member.

The top 3 remain in place for the 4th week in a row. Come on now, who are we really fooling. With Elite Imps' recruitment policy (Must belong to the top 300 keepers as seen in the highscores), without a couple of big clan mergers, nobody has a chance of passing the Elite Imps in the near future.

189 of the Top 300 Keepers are clan members (63%)
111 of the Top 300 Keepers claim no clan affiliation (37%)

Some time on Thursday, November 1, the Spells, Traps, and Doors update was activated on the English server. Here's the official announcement (you should see it the first time that you log-in).

A new and extensive update has now been added.

The update contains:
- 10 spells that can be researched and used in battle
- 16 traps that can be researched and "tinkered" (constructed)
- Modifications to the battle formula
- Modified menu options; some frames contain a minimise/maximise button
- Buttons for the mailbox, including "Mark all as read" und "Delete all"
- A new RedMoon Studios toolbar

If you observe problems with the graphics or display, please press CTRL + R; this should elimate such problems in most cases!

Higher level wizards research faster, but multiple wizards research even faster.

2 level 1 wizards will research faster than 1 level 2 wizards.

Research spots are available in the Library and Tinker (build) spots are available in the Workshop. The number of spots in the Library match the number of training spots from the Arena. Check our revised DignFight Room Info.
