You may have noticed the new color scheme. I was experiencing long load times from my computer and decided to get rid of some of the fancy Blogger In Draft features that I was playing around with.
Somewhere in that process, comment posting was disabled. It was probably a template problem and it appears to be fixed now. If you still cannot post a comment, let me know...umm, by posting a comment...HAHA!
Or you can just send me an e-mail at dignfight(at)gmail(dot)com or message me on the English server - moxSapphyre.
BTW: any comments on the black background and grey text? I like the darker theme, but readability doesn't seem as good as black text on a white background.

There is a new set of "beta" features called Blogger in Draft. They look like fun, so I changed the design template and added star ratings.
Right now, there is no way to find top-rated posts...hopefully, Blogger.com will develop that in the future. For now, go ahead and rate the posts. Let other Keepers know which posts you find useful.

Yesterday, I noticed that theEliteImps have posted stats on training creatures up to level 18. I don't know how long the info has been in the public section of their forums, and the highest training level I can reach on any of my accounts is still 15.
Can creatures really be trained beyond level 15? or are they just extrapolating the numbers according to how many "level graphics" have been found on the DignFight site?
Does anybody have info on what the requirements are to train creatures past level 15?

I think just about everybody in my clan (Nightlords) is gone. Our forum and website don't work anymore, but somehow, there are still 34 members in our clan.
Well, my main account on the English server is in need of some social interaction. I want to find a clan that has active members, preferably with a few members in the Top 100 so that we can talk strategy and share reconnaissance information.
I can help train your clan members, I can be a flunkie and take orders, I may even consider deleting my English account and starting from scratch (you better have a really good reason for asking me to do this). Perhaps you need a clan leader or a clan webpage...I can do that too.
Anyway, I am looking for a new clan to join. Leave a comment if you like. E-mail in private if your prefer - dignfight(AT)gmail(DOT)com

I added a new poll today at the request of one of my loyal readers. Go ahead and vote in the sidebar and tell us how long you've been playing DignFight.
Is there anything that you would like to see in a poll? Add a comment or e-mail me at dignfight(at)gmail(dot)com.

To answer a recent comment: "Yes, I have multiple DignFight accounts."
However, I am NOT duping or cheating. There are currently 13 seperate DignFight servers.
- English
- Spanish
- German
- Italian
- French
- Netherlands
- Serbia
- Hungarian
- Romanian
- Poland
- Czechoslovakia
- Greece
- Portugal
According to the game rules, RedMoon Studios does not allow multiple accounts on the same server, but you are welcome to create one account PER server (see rule #5).
I currently have 4 active accounts running on DIFFERENT servers. I do NOT have more than one account the same server. I have listed a couple usernames here on this blog in some of my posts. The Walkthrough series of posts follows my German account: MoxJet which is no longer actively being played.
I have a couple of legitimate accounts which I have not shared on this blog where I practice other strategies.
If you look at some of the top players on any server, there is a good chance that you will find the same username on another DignFight server.

It's a bit obvious that I've been taking an extended break. Things in real life have been piling up and my computers at home have been giving me trouble.
I haven't even logged on to any of my DignFight accounts in at least 2 weeks.
There isn't much about the game to write about right now, so I'll just ramble about RL for a few minutes.
It all started when I picked up some malware from a website. I swear it was a pop-up ad from Veoh, I could be wrong. Things went from bad to worse when I decided to try and fix it myself by deleting a few infected files. My WinXP machine was so screwed up, I couldn't even open up My Computer.
Then my Network Attached Storage box died. It's an Infrant Ready NAS NV (Infrant is now owned by Netgear). There's a known issue with a specific range of serial numbers that causes the power supply to die prematurely. Lucky me, I got one of those lemon serial numbers. If Netgear would just send my the replacement power supply, I would be in great shape. Naturally, their customer service is lousy. The customer service rep very politely said that the part would be replaced for free and shipping would be covered. That was on February 15. The power supplies still haven't arrived at Netgear's warehouse and they can't tell me when they expect the part to come in.

It's been almost 2 weeks since my last post. I've forgotten when I posted the last set of stats. The trip I took was awesome, then there was school...so much to do, so little time.
The Top 100 section of the High Score List seems to be slowly creeping up without me. My main account on the English server just dropped out of the Top 100 this week. I've been slacking on my gold digging for a while. It gets pretty expensive to level up a whole squad of creatures...

I will be out of town for the rest of this week. My chances of having an Internet connection are slim. If I'm lucky, I may be able to grab the high scores on Friday, but otherwise, no new posts until Sunday, January 27.

I ended up taking an unplanned break from the DignFight Strategies blog from about Christmas to New Years Eve. My original plan was to post all of the doors, traps, and spells by the end of 2007. Since today is the 31st, I decided that I had better get moving if I want to stick to the deadline.
The remaining traps and doors have been posted this morning. Sometime in the past week, the Elite Imps have been busy on their public forum posting information for nearly all of the remaining spells. The rest of the spell updates will be posted by tomorrow night (New Year's Day 2008).
I altered the post dates of 2 traps (Barricade & Brake Trap)so that they appear in the order that the traps are "discovered" in-game.

I'm a bit quick to pull the trigger on DignFight server trouble. I've been having trouble connecting to the English server for the past 10 minutes or so (although 10 minutes is very short, anything delays more than 1 minute are rare for the DignFight site. I can't get to the English forums either (see screenshot)
My "walkthrough account" on the German server seems fine. Hopefully everything will be back up within a few hours.

Spells, Traps, and Door Update Available on English Server
0 comments Posted by MoxSapphyre on 11/01/2007Some time on Thursday, November 1, the Spells, Traps, and Doors update was activated on the English server. Here's the official announcement (you should see it the first time that you log-in).
A new and extensive update has now been added.
The update contains:
- 10 spells that can be researched and used in battle
- 16 traps that can be researched and "tinkered" (constructed)
- Modifications to the battle formula
- Modified menu options; some frames contain a minimise/maximise button
- Buttons for the mailbox, including "Mark all as read" und "Delete all"
- A new RedMoon Studios toolbar
If you observe problems with the graphics or display, please press CTRL + R; this should elimate such problems in most cases!
Higher level wizards research faster, but multiple wizards research even faster.
2 level 1 wizards will research faster than 1 level 2 wizards.
Research spots are available in the Library and Tinker (build) spots are available in the Workshop. The number of spots in the Library match the number of training spots from the Arena. Check our revised DignFight Room Info.

The English server http://www.dignfight.com appears to be down this morning. All 6 of the other foreign language servers are still displaying a front page.
Today's Top 300 Clan Affiliation post may be delayed.

From the buzz in the DignFight forums, it seems like the Spells, Doors, and Traps upgrade is active on the German server. The multi-account rules allow a player to have 1 account on each server, so if there are any Dignfight addicts out there, you may want to create an account on the German server. I don't know if that's going to get you any information any faster, but it's an interesting option.
As usual, the public section of the Elite Imps forum has the most up to date information.
A whole new tech tree to explore and a whole new set of things to spend your excavated gold!
Spells need to be researched in your Library by wizards. The larger your library, the more wizards can be researching at one time.
Doors need to be researched in your Library by wizards, then tinkered (built) by trolls. Tinkering will probably be done in the workshop (again, larger workshop equals more trolls tinkering at one time).
Evil Eye
- Reveals the procentual(sp?) defensive coverage of your opponent
- 4 levels of strength to research
- costs 100-400 hours of research time per level of strength
- you must pay gold to cast it (?)
- chance of success increases with the level of the spell
- Researching to level 4 will take one wizard 41 days 16 hours
Assigning 4 wizards to research the spell should require about 10.5 days, cost 8000 gold total, and result in a spell that detects the defensive percentage(?) with an accuracy greater than 87% for about 400 gold (?).
Berserker
- Adds a +2 bonus to the max damage cause by your troops in battle
- 2 levels of strength to research
- requires 300-600 hours of research time to obtain
- costs gold to cast and only functions for a short period of time
Watchful Eye
- Increases the field coverage of your troops by a bonus of 2
- currently only 1 level of strength is available
- requires 500 hours of research time to obtain
- requires Berserker spell level 1, Evil Eye level 3, and 5x5 Library
- no info on casting cost, duration, or chance of success
Quicksand
- Reduces the range of enemy creatures during battle by -1
- 1 level of strength
- 500 hours of research time required
- requires Berserker spell level 1, Evil Eye level 3, and 5x5 Library
- no info on casting cost, duration, or chance of success

According to Killer_of_cows (Login required to view post), the door/trap/spell update for DignFight will make use of the library.
and yes library and workshop will have purpose after the update so start upgrading them so your ready ;)
also you have to have wizards and devilers/trolls
so if you want to profit fast from the update and be first in your range to use the traps, spells or dorrs build up library and train some wizards (workshop won't do anything untill you reshearched and I belive the time for trap 1 with one level 1 wizard were 200+ hours :P)

Snake Eyes, one of the forum administrators has announced that Spells, Traps, and Doors will be added to Dignfight in the near future. A link to the Elite Imps public forum is also included with teaser pics of the new features.
The development of the Spells, Traps and Doors is complete! The new area will be available once the update is installed; in this area you can research spells, build traps and doors! The update has been installed on the DNF Germany server and just needs to be translated. Below is a glimpse of the update:
