DignFight Spells: Evil Eye

Description in game: Reveals the procentual defensive coverage of your opponent.

Evil Eye reveals the "fields covered" percentage of 1 Keeper in normal attack range (within 15 ranks of you on the high score list), you get to see how well his dungeon is guarded. Remember that at 50% coverage, your opponent will have a +5% bonus to hit, at 75% coverage, there will be a +10% bonus to hit, and at 100% coverage, there will be a +15% bonus to hit.

As I get to see the higher levels spells, I dislike what I see. The spells take a long time to research and they're expensive to research. They're very expensive to cast, although the combat benefits definitely help, casting spells costs too much and any attacks that you make are no longer profitable.

Evil Eye is vital to have if you intend to use attacks as part of your strategy. What level should you research? At least level 2, the casting cost of level 3 is reasonable IF you have high level Devilers to attack with. The casting cost of level 4 isn't that much higher and for a 100% success rate, it might even be worth it.

I think one think was screwed up here, and this is the casting cost. To get useable spells, casting cost should decrease with levels.

I'm not sure what the admins were thinking with the increased casting costs.
After healing, my level 7 Devilers can barely make a profit if I cast a L3 Evil Eye.

Has anyone tried to go over level 5? I figure if your at 100% at level 5 the only reason to level it any higher would be to lower the casting cost. Would be nice, maybe someone could try it out if they don't mind a chance at wasting time and gold.

The data I got for the spells came from the Elite Imps public forum. Considering the fact that Kayo is part of Elite Imps, I'm guessing that level 5 is the highest that anybody has reached so far.

Seeing the pattern of casting costs for spells, though, I have a feeling that the casting costs isn't going to go lower. :(

Hello. i dont know anybody who has level 6 evil eye and on english server im going at first just for traps :) And yes, the 200,...400, 447 etc are cost of casting. The spell works just for lets say 0,1 second. its just says, how much the coverage of the opponent is and if he add defense in next second, you dont know it. offcourse the chance of this is small. Pretty useless is the spell and i use it only to see, if the coverage isnt made lets say by one glowworm, or if i know the player is a worm, but i wanna be sure before sending imps.
If we count the price for the healing of devilers, then its better to risc it with a deviler squads several times. sometimes you dont meet defense, sometimes you winn, sometimes not. still its better, as the spell.
